The Opus 1 Interconnect is made with cryogenically treated high-purity silver-plated copper conductors that are insulated in dual channels of Teflon® dielectric. All of the wire and connectors used to build the Opus 1 Interconnect have been cryogenically treated in our cold fusion deep immersion process at -315 degrees Fahrenheit
(-192 C) to structurally align and fuse the metallurgical molecular bond of the conductive alloys and metals for lower impedance and significantly less line noise. Each cable is 100% protected by braided copper shielding that provides protection against electro-magnetic (EMI) and radio frequency (RFI) signal interference. The Opus 1 is terminated with cryogenically treated silver-plated Cardas RCA connectors. High silver content solder and precision tempera-ture controlled soldering techniques maintain phase-accurate signal flow and balanced inductance and capacitance throughout the signal path.
